Corinne O'Kelly

At 74, Corinne O’Kelly brings a lifetime of experience to her support of the BRITE Institute’s mission. Her path reflects a life shaped by clinical care, systems thinking, and deeply personal engagement across medicine, research, and community.

Corinne began her career as a respiratory therapist, grounded in hands-on patient care, before shifting her focus to cognitive systems science and research. This foundation informed three decades spent working closely alongside her husband, Eugene O'Kelly, helping to navigate the demands and complexities of a high-level professional life in business, and deepening her understanding of decision-making and organizational systems.

This chapter of her life culminated in her partnership in the writing of Chasing Daylight, a reflection on life and mortality that continues to resonate widely.  She also served for a decade as Honorary Chair of the American Cancer Society Financial Services Gala in New York City.
Corinne brings this breadth of experience to her role at the BRITE Institute, supporting its work to ensure that innovation in medicine advances in ways that are safe, thoughtful, and grounded in human experience.
