
Morgan Chatley is a business strategist and growth leader with experience launching new markets, building strategic partnerships, and establishing operational foundations that support scalable business growth. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Toxicology from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied the molecular effects of pollutants and chemical exposure on human health. Her early academic work sparked a lasting interest in how emerging technologies can help address complex public health challenges.
Morgan spent a decade at Tesla, where she played a key role in growing the company from an early-stage startup into a global enterprise. As Head of International Expansion, she led the development and execution of Tesla’s international market strategy, orchestrating the company’s entry into more than 20 countries. Her work required a deep understanding of Tesla’s business and close collaboration across dozens of teams and hundreds of internal and external stakeholders — including finance, legal, sales, operations,manufacturing, engineering, government relations, risk, information technology,and human resources — to launch and grow each new market responsibly. In this role, she evaluated geopolitical, regulatory, and operational risks alongside market opportunities while guiding complex market launches.
Earlier in her tenure, she helped build Tesla’s Financial Service sorganization, enabling a significant share of the company’s vehicle sales. She developed strategic partnerships with financial institutions across North America, Europe, and Asia, structured innovative financing products, and implemented operational processes that supported scalable, automated programs while delivering a delightful customer experience.
Morgan brings her experience in business development and operations to the BRITE Institute, advancing the safe and responsible deployment of artificial intelligence to improve patient health outcomes. In addition to her work with BRITE institute, Morgan supports several non-profit organizations focused on education, environmental sustainability, and public health, reflecting her long-standing commitment to advancing human and environmental well-being.
Morgan lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and three children.
