Help improve lifesaving care before patients reach the hospital. We welcome EMTs, paramedics, clinicians, and AI specialists interested in exploring how AI can support faster decisions, better triage, and safer care in pre-hospital environments.
BRITE Institute is seeking volunteers interested in the use of AI to improve care in pre-hospital and field medicine. We welcome EMTs, paramedics, emergency physicians, AI engineers, data scientists, and researchers who want to explore how technology can support faster, safer decisions before patients reach the hospital.
Pre-hospital care often occurs in fast-moving, uncertain environments where responders must make critical decisions with limited information. AI tools—from decision support to triage systems and predictive analytics—have the potential to help first responders identify life-threatening conditions earlier and deliver more effective care.
Volunteers may contribute to activities such as reviewing emerging technologies, identifying real-world use cases, exploring research ideas, or helping analyze data and literature.
This is a flexible and collaborative opportunity to help shape how AI supports frontline responders and improves outcomes for patients in emergency settings.
