Political Science Researcher

Participate in research shaping national security and public policy. Work with top scholars to improve government risk management and protect millions through better decisions, smarter strategies, and real-world impact.

Oppertunity Description

Every day, government leaders make decisions that can impact millions of lives. Yet too often, these decisions are made without robust, forward-looking risk analysis. At BRITE Institute, we believe that better risk management can prevent disasters, strengthen national security, and save lives on a massive scale.

As a volunteer research assistant, you’ll join one of our active projects on the topics of political science or public policy. This is your opportunity to contribute to life-saving research that influences how governments prepare for threats—from pandemics to geopolitical conflict.

After learning about your interests and skills, we’ll place you on a research team led by top scholars from institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, and Stanford. You will work on research tasks such as literature reviews, interviews, surveys, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and the development of reports or policy briefs that may shape future government action.

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about government, defense, journalism, or academia. Whether you're preparing for a career in public service or driven by a desire to protect lives, your work here will help build a more stable, informed, and secure future.
