Oppertunity Description

Do you love writing and want to use your voice to make the world safer, smarter, and more resilient? Are you looking to grow your portfolio while contributing to a safer and more stable future for all of us?  BRITE Institute is looking for talented writers to help communicate our life-saving work—no experience required, just a passion for clear, impactful storytelling.

As an independent contributor writer, you’ll be able to choose projects that fit your interests and schedule. From bringing research to life and uncovering untold stories to inspiring action from words - from blog posts and case studies to creative nonfiction and investigative features, you’ll have the chance to explore a wide range of projects based on your interests and strengths.

Task Availability

This post is for the independent contributor role.  We also offer writing internships and team member positions.

Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to clarity and tone
  • Curiosity and willingness to write on unfamiliar or technical topics
  • Self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines
  • Openness to feedback and revision
  • No professional experience required—just a strong grasp of language, a love of writing, and a desire to make an impact

You will be asked to provide 2-3 samples of your writing.  Theses writing samples can be on any topic.
