Do you want to apply your strategic thinking to help a high-impact nonprofit grow? As a Business Development Volunteer at BRITE Institute, you’ll work on real projects that expand our reach, strengthen partnerships, and increase our capacity to mediate life-threatening risks in healthcare, national security, and beyond.

This is not just a learning experience—it’s a chance to contribute meaningfully to the success of a mission-driven organization. You’ll help identify new opportunities, support partnership outreach, strengthen operational strategy, and contribute to fundraising or sponsorship efforts.

Open to all experience levels, this role is ideal for those interested in business, consulting, nonprofit leadership, or entrepreneurship. Whether you're just getting started or already have some experience, you’ll gain practical, resume-worthy skills while helping build a safer, more resilient world.

Task Availability

Volunteer Tracks

You can choose to join us as a business development volunteer through all three tracks: as a team member, individual contributor, or as an internship. Details of the requirements for each three tracts are listed below:

Team Member

  • No experiance required
  • Free training and education
  • Opportunity to shape strategy and engage in long-term efforts

Individual Contributor

  • Prior experiance required
  • Freedom to choose projects as your schedule allows

Internship

  • Three month (12 week) internship with a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week
  • Free training and education
  • No experiance required
