Oppertunity Description

Breakthrough research can only change the world if people understand it. That’s where you come in.

As a Scientific Communication Volunteer at BRITE Institute, you’ll help translate complex research into clear, engaging messages that inspire action—from healthcare workers and policy makers to other scientists. Whether it’s a discovery about pandemic prevention, controlling AI, or preventing war, your writing can inform smarter decisions and save lives.

While strong writing skills are essential, you do not need prior experience in science communication to join us. We will teach you how to distill technical findings, write accessibly for different audiences, and create content that moves people—from press releases and policy briefs to web articles and infographics.

This opportunity is perfect for journalists, aspiring scientists, writers, or anyone passionate about making research meaningful beyond the lab. You’ll gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship, and work alongside researchers from top institutions —all while contributing to a cause that truly matters.
