Scientific Communication - Visual Track

Use your artistic talent to bridge the difference between discovery and impact. As a visual science communicator, you’ll transform complex research into infographics, illustrations, and visuals that help change the way people act.

Oppertunity Description

In a world filled with noise and complexity, the clearest message often comes through visuals. At BRITE Institute, we’re tackling high-stakes challenges—from pandemic preparedness to aviation safety—and we need talented designers to help communicate our findings in ways that inform, engage, and empower.

As a Visual Science Communication Volunteer, you’ll work alongside researchers and communication specialists to turn complex scientific information into clear, impactful visuals. Whether it’s an infographic explaining medical error rates or a diagram of national security risk pathways, your designs will help decision-makers, healthcare workers, and the public understand research that could prevent catastrophe.

This is a hands-on, creative opportunity to grow your skills while contributing to a mission with real-world consequences. You’ll gain experience in scientific storytelling, work with real research data, and build a portfolio of designs that serve a global cause.
